When it is spoken of the best english shoe is a shoe for all the life. Proof of it, is the existence of the service of change of soles that has all mark that boasts. My favorite is Crockett & Jones, founded on 1879 by Charles Jones and his brother-in-law James Crockett in Northampton. One is an excellent footwear between which it is possible to be chosen between oxfords, loafers, monks and the destined one to the field. In a superior level they are its Handgrade, that they count on oak sole and they bend them, of horse skin. They make shoes to Ralph Lauren and to Hackett.

Another mythical mark is Tricker´s, also located in Northampton and founded by Joseph Tricker on 1829, it counts on the distinction of Prince Charles. Between its collections it is possible to emphasize: the Jermyn Street, the 1829, City and the Country. When it talks about the shoe to size, John Lobb is the maximum exponent, where the shoes make without previous test and one is located in number of 9 St James in London.

Without forgetting to us Church, founded on 1921 and 1930 in the Madison avenue of New York. I could which English shoes even exist better but for most of people it is the more well-known mark English and continues being qinta essence of the English preparation.

Perhaps most exclusive they are Edward Green and George Cleverly . First, it was founded on 1890, acquiring the fame soon to make the best shoes of England. Second, it began to design its own models in the Fifties and counts on an establishment in the Royal arcade. Between its clients it is possible to mention from Rodolfo Valentino to Winston Churchil happening through Bogart and Clarke Gable.

Try Henry Maxwell at Foster and Son 83 Jermyn Street for handmade shoes. They have an incredible Last maker - one of very few still working. I had a pair of shoes made there this year and it was good to see that they are thriving again. - see
